Zsuzsanna Holli's mother experienced a parent's worst nightmare before the birth of her second daughter.
Her first-born daughter was diagnosed as incurably ill and had to be placed in a home where she could be provided with the conditions, care, and medical treatments appropriate to her condition. As time passed, they dreamed of having a child together, but Zsuzsanna's stipulation was that they would go for all genetic tests to ensure that their child would be born healthy. After the tests, Zsuzsa was diagnosed with IR and hormonal disorders. It took months before she managed to get pregnant. They were overjoyed, and they went to the genetic diagnostic center in the capital several times during their pregnancy, where everything was found to be fine and it turned out that they were having a baby girl.
Holli was born at 40 weeks, completely healthy. After 3 days, they were able to go home from the hospital and the little family could be together. The little girl had a very sick baby, but we were able to determine that she had milk protein sensitivity and fructose intolerance, so her stomachaches went away. The months passed, there were no serious problems, she developed beautifully until she was 18 months old. She received the MMR vaccine, then 3 days later she had a seizure. Her parents took her for an MRI scan, where autism was suspected.

He also lost eye contact, didn't follow or imitate facial expressions, didn't point to objects, didn't indicate if he was hungry or thirsty. Our dog Jenna also noticed that something was wrong with Holli, she started to protect her, follow her, poke her with her nose, and tried to establish contact with her, but unfortunately Holli ignored her.
I also told the child welfare officer that there were problems with Hollika, and that's when she sent us to the pedagogical service. They played with Hollika for an hour and when they called her name, sometimes singing, sometimes more softly, sometimes with musical toys, she absolutely didn't pay attention to them. That was the moment when I realized that the many symptoms really did cover autism. There they only said that they suspected her and that they needed to be monitored, but I knew that this was no longer just a suspicion, but autism, her mother told me.
At the age of 2, medical tests confirmed that Holli was autistic.
As Holli grows, everyday life becomes more and more difficult for her. She doesn't speak, she's not potty trained, she only accepts baby food from a bottle. Due to her illness, Holli completely undresses, even tearing off her diapers, so they use up a lot of diapers. In order to finance the little girl's baby food and diapers, the parents sold everything they could. Every weekday they receive a bowl of hot free food at a soup kitchen.<\/p>\n
Zsuzsanna had been feeling very unwell for some time. The tests determined that an old tick bite had caused her to develop acute Lyme disease, which had been latent until now. It also turned out that Holli had also contracted the disease in the womb. The treatment of the disease is putting an even greater financial burden on the already difficult family. They have already undergone antibiotic courses, food intolerance tests, and western blot blood tests. A so-called Dual Dur blood test would be very important, which would show exactly which strains of bacteria Holli is infected with, so that they could receive targeted treatments. This lab would cost 100,000 HUF per person.
