Marcell arrived prematurely into a family where his two adult brothers were eagerly awaiting his arrival. He developed beautifully in the first month and made his entire family happy with his smile. At just 13 months old, he was already saying words, reciting his favorite rhymes, playing mischievously, and was a joy to watch. He played functionally with his toys, walked nicely, and ate and drank independently.
However, at the age of 14 months, he lost almost all his previous abilities in a few weeks. He stopped talking, cried often, was in pain, did not reach for objects, and could not express his emotions. His motor functions almost completely stopped. After numerous MRIs and metabolic tests, he was diagnosed with a brain metabolic disorder of unknown origin, a brain cell division disorder, autism, hearing loss, and severe epilepsy.
Marcell can only eat pureed food, so he needs to be fed and watered. Thanks to the improvements, he can now walk with help, but he needs support in everything else.
Please help Marcell and his family with your support so that his lost abilities can be improved through further development, and thus he can live a happier and fuller life with his family!
