Botond is just over three years old. He is battling a serious leukemia. At first, they couldn't determine what was wrong with him, but fortunately, pediatrician Dr. Hargel Ahmad of Elek recognized the disease in time and helped the family start the boy's five-year chemotherapy treatment in Szeged.

The diagnosis devastated everyone and a nightmare began. Botond's family was completely torn apart. Botond's mother was in the hospital 24 hours a day, while his two sisters (aged 6 and 8) were raised by their grandparents during the treatments.

The girls went through a very difficult time, but their grandparents tried to cope with everything. They were very broken mentally, because suddenly they had no mother and no siblings.

Botond suffered a lot in the first block of active treatment, but there were many low points throughout the treatment. The little boy cannot go out in public, and during chemotherapy treatment he is highly susceptible to all diseases.

Botond's illness has taken a toll on the family both emotionally and financially. Active chemotherapy treatment has been completed, the disease is in remission, and maintenance treatment is expected to last until December 2023. The mother is raising her children as a single parent, and since Botond's illness, they have been in a very difficult situation and would like to ask for help. We gratefully accept any help!
