Elizabeth was born in 2023 as a completely healthy baby. However, in the 90th minute of the golden hour, she suddenly stopped breathing. Her parents immediately notified the nurse, who immediately took her away and began resuscitation. The first attempt was unsuccessful, only the second time, with mechanical assistance, managed to save her life. Unfortunately, by then she had developed a severe oxygen deficiency, so she was transferred to Semmelweis University that same day, where she was hibernated for 72 hours. Despite all this, the doctors determined that approximately 60% of her brain was damaged.
Since then, they have undergone numerous medical examinations, but Elizabeth's development is significantly behind that of her peers. Her weight gain is slow, and her motor development is also hampered. Her parents have taken her to numerous development clinics, both private and public, but the future remains uncertain. As a result of the lack of oxygen, she has also developed epilepsy, for which she is receiving anticonvulsant medications, but these have not brought the expected results.
Since the necessary developments and medical care are predominantly available in Budapest, her parents decided to move to the capital. Although we face many challenges, we do everything we can to ensure that Elizabeth receives as much support as possible for her development.
Let's help Elizabeth and her family together!
