Dominik was born in January 2020, at 25 weeks gestation, as an extremely premature baby with a severe stroke and oxygen deprivation. In the first weeks of his life, he underwent several major surgeries: a section of his small intestine was removed, he had laser eye surgery and a hernia in his inguinal hernia. Doctors say he may never meet anyone and will only be able to lie down.

But his parents did not give up. They mobilised all their energy and resources for Dominik's development: they took him to daily development sessions (Dévény, Conductive Therapy, physiotherapy, eating-sleeping therapy, Pfaffenrot), researched at night and exercised during the day. Behind every small step forward was a huge struggle.

He is a mildly autistic boy who can walk on his own with a walker, communicates, sings a lot, and loves cars and stuffed birds. Although he cannot yet walk independently, his parents are doing everything they can to ensure that one day he can. One of their dreams is to have robot therapy - but this is out of reach for them at the moment.
