In 2022, Áron suffered a spinal fracture as a result of an accident. Immediate surgery was followed by lengthy rehabilitation and private tuition. At home, he had to face a completely new life situation: he was somewhat excluded from his circle of friends, and his flat had to be remodelled to make it wheelchair accessible, which had financial limitations, but thanks to the supportive community, he was able to start a new life. In 2023, he was back in school among his friends, who helped him accept his situation and make the most of it, living in the moment. Áron was also unable to let go of his water polo past, so he initially replaced it with swimming and then kayaking, all alongside continuous rehabilitation, physiotherapy and robot therapy.
Áron is very independent and does not want to depend on his family or be a burden on them, either physically or financially. That is why he started working to help his parents, but his biggest dream is to get his driving licence so that he can go anywhere he wants in his own converted car – even on his own. Please support Áron so that he can get closer to his dreams and an independent adult life!
