Noémi is a special 3-year-old girl whose start in life has not been easy. She is the
the second child in the family, along with a healthy 14-year-old brother. Noémi
suffered a massive stroke at birth, which caused permanent damage
including brain atrophy. As a result of the brain injury, he has epileptic seizures
which are controlled with medication.
Noémi's progress is sadly behind her age, but every little improvement is a joy for the family. Her parents are committed to doing everything they can to help her improve. They regularly attend the necessary medical check-ups, developmental sessions and gymnastics to ensure that Noémie receives the best possible care. Her mother also wants to take her to oxygen therapy, hoping that this will help her condition, and she is also waiting for an operation because she is finding it increasingly difficult to breathe.
Caring for Noémi is a heavy burden for the family, not only emotionally but also financially. The father lost his job during the winter, which made their situation even more difficult. For a while, they had to buy her medicine from abroad, which also put a strain on the family budget.
The family is in desperate need of help, because every little bit helps to bring them closer to Noémi living in the best possible conditions.
