After winning the football championship, on a summer day in 2021, 17-year-old Áron Thuróczy rushed to the Körös beach with his friends to celebrate together. Áron jumped into the water, but his head hit an underwater object, which immediately paralyzed him. After a long treatment, Áron is in better physical condition and is doing everything he can to make his recovery as successful as possible. Although his everyday life has changed, he is doing everything he can to live a full life. He owes his life to the strong presence of mind and resilience of his friends: – Áron, who has already undergone two spinal surgeries since the accident, has a long and serious fight ahead of him to live a full life again. But his muscles can be developed with hard work, his hands are getting more and more skillful, and we hope that he will also be able to use his legs and be able to stand up soon. But until then, rehabilitation, which will probably take years, purchasing special equipment, and making the family home accessible could cost millions.
Áron has graduated from high school since his accident, plays sports, and works every day to live a full life again.
