F. Mira and family

Mira was born in December 2015 at 37 weeks' gestation, weighing 2880 grams and with an Apgar score of 9/10. A residual haemorrhage in her brain was detected at birth, so tests were started immediately. After a series of MRI, EEG and neurological tests, he was diagnosed with axial hypotonia, which significantly affected his motor development and psychomotor skills.

M. Diána and her family

Diána is a girl born in September 2015 who lives with a severe disability. She has limited mobility, was born with cleft palate and wears a shunt. She cannot drink independently and has difficulty feeding orally.

N. Jasmine and her family

Jasmine was born in 2010 with hip spica and hypotonic muscles. She and her mum have been going to regular rehabilitation sessions ever since. The hip dislocation was corrected by surgery, but over time it was discovered that she has an incurable muscle disease (Urlich muscular dystrophy), which is a constant deterioration.

Kincső and her family

Kincső was born in a serious condition, weighing just 1100 grams. Because of her centralised circulation, she had to be delivered by emergency caesarean section and was then placed in an incubator and ventilated. Although he had an extremely difficult journey ahead of him, he proved to be a fighter: in less than two months he was strong enough for his parents to take him home.

S. Szimonetta and her family

Since birth, Simonetta has lived with health problems that have dominated her daily life. In early childhood, she underwent constant neurological monitoring for hypotonia, then mental retardation and symptomatic epilepsy. He also struggles with his eyesight: he has a history of strabismus and paralysis syndrome (G8390). Together, these conditions pose a serious challenge to his orientation, motivation and attention control.

A. Áron and his family

In 2022, Aaron suffered a broken spine in an accident. Immediate surgery was followed by a long period of rehabilitation and home-schooling. At home, he had to face a completely new life situation: he had fallen out of his circle of friends, the apartment around him had to be transformed into a wheelchair-accessible home with financial limitations, but thanks to the support of the community, he was able to start a new life.

L. Narcissus and his family

Narcissus was born on 13.08.2006. At the age of 8 months he was examined for his delayed motor development and diagnosed with SMA1. At the age of 7, Narcissus had a laryngectomy, but despite this he learned to speak with his larynx.

F. Véda and her family

Véda was born at 36 weeks by emergency cesarean section, due to undetected toxemia of pregnancy. She suffered from a lack of oxygen in the womb, and unfortunately suffered a brain hemorrhage on the 6th day after birth.

C. Hanna and her family

Life has been a struggle for Hanna, now 7, since birth. The little girl suffered from renal vein thrombosis in the womb, and 3 strokes at birth, as well as cerebral palsy and epilepsy. Her mother was told that her child would vegetate like a houseplant. The doctors practically gave up on her, but her mother and the family did not give up.

A. Krisztián and his family

Krisztián was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy at the age of seven and a half. I could already see that something was wrong when I was 5. He couldn't walk up stairs, squat down, climb, and could barely walk a few meters on his own.
I took him to the local doctor, but they said he had clubfoot and a muscle strain! They took two years off our lives.
